From beyond the grave...
"The British are at the same time doing all in their power to foster the Moslem Brotherhood, a clerical-fascist organization in Egypt"
- Tony Cliff, 4th International, vol. 7 No. 9, Sept. 1946
Wow, that's harsher language than I would use about the Brotherhood. Any supporters of the "resistance" from a certain political organisation care to comment?
Or alternatively perhaps our Maddy of the Sorrows would like to say something?

For those of you who don't get the Priest's reference to "Our Maddie of the Sorrows", he's on about the loathsome religious fanatic and cultural relativist who used to write regularly in the UK 'Guardian' newspaper, and who made an unwelcome return this Wednesday, with a truely appalling piece in support of the Muslim Brotherhood and religious fundamentalism. It was a typical piece of smug, patronising Bunting garbage - or what Norman Geras calls "mbunderstanding". Happily the forces of seculat reason are mobilising against "mbunderstanding": read some of the incive attacks on Maddie in the 'Comment Is Free' discussion on the Guardian's wedsite. Also Harry's Place, Normblog and Paul Andrson at 'Gaouche'.
But Maddie's grovelling before the Brotherhood is less appalling than that of the Stupid Wankers' Party: at least she doesn't pretend to be a revolutionary socialist.

Sorry about posting that twice. It was good stuff, but not that good. Something to do with a delay on my computer I think. I'll try not to do it again.
This blog has become obsessed with the SWP
Naah - we're actually willing to have a go at anyone. It's just the SWP's turn at the moment.
Yeah anon,
wait five minutes and VP will banging on about the SPGB at Speakers Corner. ;-)
Hey, seen those SPGB'ers at Speakers Corn -
DAMN YOU Darren you've pre-empted my comment!
